Add the wet ingredients—water and oil—gradually, mixing thoroughly with a whisk until smooth. Melt the Venchi extra dark chocolate in a bain-marie. Once cooled slightly, incorporate it into the mixture.Tip: For a fruity, slightly nutty note, try Venchi’s Venezuela bar (naturally vegan) or any other vegan Venchi chocolate of your choice. Grease the baking tin lightly with oil, pour in the batter and level the surface with a spatula. Bake in a preheated static oven at 170°C for 45 minutes. Test by inserting a skewer: if it comes out dry, the cake is ready. Cool completely before removing from the tin. Serve as is—or garnish with chocolate shavings and a scoop of vegan gelato for extra indulgence! Top with shaved coconut and a dusting of icing sugar. Pair it with our Dark Chocolate & Coconut bar for an irresistible finish! Vegan Chocolate & Walnut Cake Chocolate and nuts are a dreamy pairing! Substitute water with almond or soy milk and fold finely chopped walnuts into the batter. Decorate with walnut halves and chocolate curls. Orange & Chocolate Vegan Cake A classic flavour duo: simply add grated orange zest to the batter. For a gourmet twist, toss in a few candied orange peels (coat them in flour first to stop them sinking). In warmer months, swap oranges for seasonal fruits like pears, apples or bananas, creating new interpretations of this easy, versatile vegan cake.
